Asymptotic revenue equivalence of asymmetric auctions with interdependent values
We prove an asymptotic revenue equivalence among weakly asymmetric auctions with interdependent values, in which bidders have either asymmetric utility functions or asymmetric distributions of signals. متن کاملOn Revenue-Optimal Dynamic Auctions for Bidders with Interdependent Values
In a dynamic market, being able to update one’s value based on information available to other bidders currently in the market can be critical to having profitable transactions. This is the model of interdependent values (IDV): a bidder’s value can explicitly depend on the private information of other bidders. In this paper we present preliminary results about the revenue properties of dynamic a...
متن کاملCollusion and signaling in auctions with interdependent values
The standard mechanism design approach to collusion in auctions posits an uninformed, disinterested third party who designs and implements the mechanism. However, in many environments, collusion agreements are likely to be both proposed and executed by the involved parties. When this is the case, the standard approach may be inadequate; it neglects potential information leakages and minimizes f...
متن کاملPure strategy equilibria of single and double auctions with interdependent values
We prove the existence of monotonic pure strategy equilibrium for many types of asymmetric auctions among n bidders with unitary demands, interdependent values and independent types. The assumptions require monotonicity only in the own bidder's type and the payments can be function of all bids. Thus, we provide a new equilibrium existence result for asymmetrical double auctions.
متن کاملEfficient Interdependent Value Combinatorial Auctions with Single Minded Bidders
We study the problem of designing efficient auctions where bidders have interdependent values; i.e., values that depend on the signals of other agents. We consider a contingent bid model in which agents can explicitly condition the value of their bids on the bids submitted by others. In particular, we adopt a linear contingent bidding model for single minded combinatorial auctions (CAs), in whi...
